This track is designed to prepare residents to be future leaders in clinical and\/or academic sex- and gender-based women\u2019s health. We use the term women\u2019s health to describe medical conditions with sex-specific differences affecting people assigned female at birth and are inclusive of patients with diverse gender identities.<\/p>\n

Our goals\u00a0are to enable residents to:<\/p>\n

  1. Understand and manage medical conditions with sex-specific differences affecting people assigned female at birth.<\/li>\n
  2. Acquire competency and expertise in sex- and gender-based women\u2019s health beyond that of a general internist.<\/li>\n
  3. Participate in scholarly work including research projects and curriculum development related to sex- and gender-based women\u2019s health.<\/li>\n
