There will be an opportunity for an optional in-person visit after interviews. Details will be reviewed during the interview day<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">Brown IM uses Thalamus for applicant scheduling and interview platform (see below).<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">In addition to the Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE), a minimum of three letters of recommendation are required.\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">For applicants who apply to the Categorical Internal Medicine program and\/or General Internal Medicine program, one of the three required letters must be a Departmental letter such as Internal Medicine Department Chair, Vice Chair for Education, or Clerkship Director letter.<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">For applicants who apply to the Preliminary program, a Departmental letter is not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">USMLE Step 1 score is required at time of application; USMLE Step 2 score must be uploaded to your ERAS application and assigned to our program no later than February 1st of the match year.<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">We are participating in program signaling. While we preferentially review applications from those who have signaled our program, we will consider applicants who do not signal our program.<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><u>Applying to Multiple Tracks.<\/u>\u00a0 We accommodate those applicants who apply to more than one residency track (General Internal Medicine, Categorical Internal Medicine) by offering a single interview day experience, which will suffice for consideration for both Categorical and GIM programs.\u00a0Many applicants apply to both of these tracks, seeking to familiarize themselves with the unique offerings of each. Applying to both tracks will enable applicants to list both program NRMP numbers on their rank list.
