This endowed chair has allowed him to organize and enhance the humanistic care of patients throughout the hospitals and our residency. He has developed a variety of innovative humanistic programs and projects with students, house officers, and faculty. The Department of Medicine and the Internal Medicine Residency often serve as the epicenter of such activities, with other participants invited to participate in and lead programs offered for our residents and students.\u00a0 Selected activities in the Department of Medicine are described below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Associate Program Director, Dr. Fred Schiffman, appeared on the \u201cMedicine Mentors\u201d Podcast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Schiffman explains Brown\u2019s focus on Humanism in Medicine how it contributes to excellence in practice and medical education.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/campaignlp.constantcontact.com\/em\/1119270871185\/6e1f6736-03ab-42be-8236-1ca62453434a\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/campaignlp.constantcontact.com\/em\/1119270871185\/6e1f6736-03ab-42be-8236-1ca62453434a<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>These are some of the programs which we offer.
